Ordering a custom shirt is easier when the garment, artwork and print placement are planned together. A design that looks good on a screen still needs to be sized and prepared correctly for the shirt you choose.
Choose the right garment
Think about how the shirt will be used. Business uniforms, team shirts, event apparel and personal gifts may need different colors, fabrics and fits.
Browse our Custom Apparel options or start with the Custom T-Shirt product.
Use print-ready artwork
For shirts and hoodies, a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background is preferred whenever possible. JPG can work well for photos. Artwork should be about 300 PPI at the final print size.
See our Artwork Requirements for more detail.
Pick the print placement
Common placements include left chest, full front, full back and sleeve. The right size depends on the design and garment. A logo intended for a left chest should not use the same dimensions as a full-front graphic.
DTF and sublimation options
DTF works well on cotton, polyester and many common blends. Sublimation is best for compatible light-colored polyester garments. If you are unsure which method fits your shirt and artwork, contact Perfect Print before production.
If you press your own garments, see our Custom DTF Gang Sheets.
Same-day T-shirt service
Same-day service may be available for black or white T-shirts for an additional $20 when production capacity allows. Other shirt colors require an availability check before ordering.
Bring your own shirt
If you already have a suitable garment, our Bring Your Own Shirt service may be a good option. The garment needs to be clean and compatible with the requested print method.
